G.Mail:
Google has introduced a new search parameter to Gmail’s organic search function. It allows the users to search messages with a specified size, more flexible options, exact match and more.
This means to find e.mails larger than 5Mega Bytes, you can search for size:5m or larger:5m. G.mail also introduces other modifiers, such as the “older than” search function. If you want to find e.mails sent over a year ago, then you can type older_than:1y.
For example:
size:5m older_than:1y : It lets you get the e.mails older than a year with larger than 5 megabytes.
Google Drive:
Aside from Gmail, the Google Drive also has received an update. It will allow the users to find and organize easily on Google Drive.
1. Search by person:
Suppose you want to open the particular file, but you do not remember the name of the file but you know who shared it with you. Then it’s easy for you to find with the help of auto-complete option. The Google Drive search the name of the person and make it easier to find the stuff you are looking for.
2. View Google Earth map files:
You can now open, preview, and interact with Google earth files (.kml and .kmz) right inside Google Drive on the web.
3. Create new folders while organizing files:
Once, you select files in your Google Drive list, it not compulsory for you to add them in an existing folder, instead you can add them directly to a new folder.
4. Drag and drop folders in Google Chrome:
If you are using the Google Chrome, you can drag and drop the entire folders from your Desktop to Drive on the web.
5. Search includes your trash:
Sometimes, files you are looking for may accidentally stored in the trash, but don’t worry the updated feature of the Google Drive search the files from the Trash option also so you could easily find them.
