Pre requisites:

  • We strongly advise you to take backup before start to root. Because rooting may wipe your datas completely. So, backup everything so that you can recover them after you finish the rooting procedure.
  • Then charge your device battery fully to avoid your device getting switched off during the middle of the process.
  • Then disable all the antivirus suites both in your computer and device. Because this may interrupt the rooting procedure.

  • First put your Galaxy Note 2 into the download mode by turning off your phone first then holding down the Volume Down button, Center Home button and Power buttons together.

  • Do not touch anything else and click on “PDA” button then find the file CWM6-Root-Note2.tar.
  • Hit Start and let ODIN flash the custom CWM Recovery. When it’s done, your Galaxy Note 2 will reboot and you should have a fully rooted Galaxy Note 2.

  1. Hello.
I went through successfully the downloading mode and the supersu app is there. I wasn’t sure if I were suppose to click “granted”, during loading before my phone rebooted. I have titanium backup and clicked on it to see if my phone had rooted and it comes up with the error . sorry, I could not acquire root priviledges. This application will not work! Please verify that you ROM is rootes, and try again. This attempt was made using the “?system/xbin/su” command.

Was I suppose to click granted before the time ran out. or if yes. how can I go back and do this to complete the process.
    Please Help
    Thanks Linda
