How to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7″ with Android 4.0.4

In this article, we have explained you how to root the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 device. Please make a note that once you root your device the warranty will get void. For successful rooting please follow the given below pre requisites without fail.

Pre requisites:

  • Before start to proceed, we are highly recommend you to take backup of all your datas (i.e SMS, MMS, Call logs, APN Settings etc) which was available in your phone. Just in case, you lost your data due to any reason you could recover them with the help of backups.
  • We also advise you to charge your device battery fully. At-least 70% of charge is recommend from our side; to avoid your device getting switched off due to battery low during the middle of the process.
  • And also disable or uninstall all the antivirus suites because this may interrupt the process.

1. First download the Clock Work Mod recovery and from here to your computer.

2. After that again download the Fix-Recovery to erase from here to your computer.

3. Once you downloaded the aforementioned files; connect your device via USB Cable. And copy the same to your external SD card and disconnect the USB Cable.

4. Now turn your device off.

5. Then boot your device into download mode . For that you need to press the Power button + Volume Down button. And then again press the Volume Up button to continue.

6. Start Odin.

7. Choose “GT-P31XX_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar” as PDA.

8.  Now, again Connect your Tab using USB Cable.

9. Untick Reset Time and Auto Reboot

10. When it show PASS, remove USB cable and hold Vol Up + Power, when Samsung Galaxy Tab screen appear release power button but keep Volume Up button.

11. In CWM recovery, install fix recovery and cwm-root.

12. Now reboot your tab. It should be rooted now.
