Motorola XPRT

Working features of CyanogenMod 7:

  • Call and Data in GSM
  • Camera
  • Audio/Video
  • Call Recorder etc

Non-Working features of CyanogenMod 7:

  • Home button,
  • Voice search button
  • Side button.

Pre requisites:

  • We strongly advise you to take backup of all your datas (i.e SMS, MMS, Call logs, APN Settings etc) which was available in your phone. Just in case, you lost your data due to any reason you could recover them with the help of backups.
  • We also advise you to charge your device battery fully. At-least 70% of charge is recommend from our side; to avoid your device getting switched off due to battery low during the middle of the process.
  • Disable or uninstall all the antivirus suites because this may interrupt the process.
  • As this is a custom ROM you need to root your device without rooting you can’t implement this procedure.

  • First, flash the original 2.3.5 Moto ROM.
  • Then root your device.
  • Install Droid Droid2Bootstrap recovery.
  • Run Droid2 recovery, click on install recovery.
  • After flash reboot the phone.
  • Then the phone will reboot into boot menu.
  • Boot enter-set default (second init)-go back
  • Choose recovery and press on custom recovery.
  • Backup and restore backup (you need free space on your SD card. If you want to restore your backup, then you must restore and change in the boot set default normal).
  • Flash the update from SD card
  • Finally reboot your phone.

Please be informed that after flashing this ROM it is not recommended to install recovery like Droid2 bootstrapper.

And also note that you can get to the bootmenu by rebooting your phone and when it starts up the LED it will turn blue. When it turns blue press the volume down button. From the bootmenu you can choose the Recovery option.
