Last year was the year of dual core phone and the title of the king of android went to Galaxy S2 which was hailed as one of the most powerful device of the year 2011. No other device could come close to the performance offered by the Galaxy S2.

This year Galaxy S2 cant even come close to the new king HTC One X. HTC have finally managed to produce a phone that provides the true performance and have managed to beat Samsung by releasing their first quad core device.

Looks And Feel

The moment you hold the device in your hand it feels so sleek and smooth. The phone doesn’t feel heavy at all despite its size and the phone weighs just 130g with dimensions of 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm. HTC have managed to produce a real looker. The phone features a polycarbonate unibody design and also the cornering gorilla glass makes the phone very comfortable to hold.

The unibody design means the battery is non-removable but the battery is quoted at 1800mAH and that is enough to power the phone all day long and also you don’t have to charge it too often all thanks to the new processor architecture and also the fifth core that is designed to handle the daily tasks.

The real beauty of the phone lies in its 4.7inch HD Super LCD2 display which sports a resolution of 1280×720. The pictures appear crisp and sharp and also the device is a proper multimedia powerhouse because watching videos is a pleasant surprise in such a brilliant display.

The viewing angles are also good but cant come close to the viewing angles that are offered by the Super AMOLED display’s. Also the sunlight legibility is pretty good.

Hardware And Performance

The device comes preinstalled with Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. HTC have made sure to make the sense UI much smoother and have added lots of eye candy. In the previous phones the Sense UI used to lag every so often but in this version its much more lighter and feels very snappy.

The phone is powered by the Tegra3 quad core processor which is clocked at 1.5 GHz along with 1GB of RAM which ensures that no matter you throw at it; it will keep on running smoothly. In benchmarks HTC ONE X beats all other phones by miles.

The phone comes with an internal storage of 32 GB out of which 25Gb is user available. You do not get a micro SD card slot for expanding your memory but HTC have promised that the users will get access to 25GB of cloud storage in dropbox for 2years.

This offer will appeal to loads of people who are a fan and regular user of cloud storage. The camera in this device has been revamped and is much faster and smoother than previous phones.

Camera hasn’t been the strong suite of HTC but with this phone they were able to improve their shortcomings. The camera is 8MP which can record videos upto 1080p resolution and also you can take snapshots without interrupting the video recording.

You also get the beats audio enhancements in music player which coupled with the gorgeous screen makes the device a multimedia powerhouse.

If you are looking for an excellent performance device then HTC ONE X is the device that you can go for. You will not be disappointed with HTC ONE X.

How long can HTC ONE X hold the title of the king it remains to be seen because Samsung will be launching Galaxy S3 next month so lets see what that phone has to offer.
