HTC has announced its latest beast of a smartphone, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip. The new HTC phone is named the HTC One XC and it was unveiled during the Chinese Telecommunications Fair. It was earlier expected that the Droid Incredible X would be the first HTC device with that beast of a processor, but apparently it was not to be.
It will become a popular choice for Android fans, especially those who like a bit of gold ‘bling’. It has a large 4.7 inches display while also reached the 1280 × 720 pixels resolution, the phone display is very clear. It has a two-tone, black and gold design that kind of reminds us of the HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint. The quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip runs at 1.5GHz and is paired with 1GB of RAM.
The HTC One XC was built with a 8-megapixel camera, LED flash auxiliary, at the same time it has F/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle to ensure a good photographic effect.
In China, the HTC One XC will be competing with the Xiaomi M2, which also boasts a quad-core S4 processor, 720p screen, and identical 8-megapixel camera. Considering the latter will be priced at about $310, it will be interesting to see how much HTC will be asking for its quad-core beast.
There is no information yet on when the HTC One XC will be released or how much it will cost, but we should hear about those very soon.
