LG hasn’t been a big name when it comes to the Android world but somehow, they are still trying to gain some popularity in this industry. LG Optimus L5 is another try by LG to get back into the market of Smartphones and compete with companies like Samsung, HTC and Motorola.

We all know that LG is not a big name at all in Smartphone market. You may be using many electronic appliances made by LG but when it comes to a smartphone, we prefer to go with Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Apple.

However, we are seeing so many changes in the smartphone market this year. Many other companies have taken part in the smartphone race this year. Some of the considerable names are; LG, Huawei, ZTE and Sony. Many great smartphones have been introduced by all these companies so far.

There are different types of Smartphones introduce by LG so far. Some phones are very high-end smartphones while others are low-end smartphones. At this time, you will find all the varieties from LG. During the MWC 2012, LG introduced many new handsets in its new Optimus L series.

Most of the smartphones by LG were supposed to make their debut in second quarter of this year. So, here we are reporting about LG Optimus L5 making its way in the European market and after that, it will also be launched world-wide too.

Finally, LG has announced the release of Optimus L5 in Europe. First, this device will be available in UK, Germany, and France and after that it will be launched in Middle East and then Asia. So far, there is no confirm news about South and North American release but we will hear about it very soon.
If you are looking for a low-end Android Smartphone Then LG Optimus L5 is designed for you. Below are some basic specifications of this smartphone.

  • 800 MHz processor is installed in this device which is equipped with ARM Cortex-A5 technology. This is quite good processing speed for a low-end android device.
  • The display screen is well-sized at 4” and the display quality is HVGA which is in demand these days. I’m sure; LG will be able to cash this kind of display qualities.
  • The rear camera installed in this device is 5.0 MP. Along with the camera, LG has also included a LED flash light as well. 5MP camera has become a standard for any handset these days.
  • The internal storage memory of this smartphone is 4GB which is quite impressive. However, if 4GB memory is not enough for you then you can expand it with the help of micoSD card. This handset can support a microSD card up to 32 GB.
  • 1,500mAH battery is installed in this handset which will give you a good backup time. The specs aren’t that high so you will not be consuming a lot of battery too.
  • Latest version of Android OS 4.0 called Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) is installed in this smartphone. The handset can also support Dual-SIM facility.

We will have to wait and see how much successful this Smartphone can be for LG as future of the company is depending on the smartphones released this year.
