Motorola’s Vice President Punit Soni, said that the company is trying to change the way they communicate with the customers as well as focus on the Android 4.0 update for their existing devices.
As a result, Motorola releasing the update plan for Icecream Sandwich to their various devices in different regions.
Devices like the DROID Bionic, XOOM family edition, or the DROID XYBOARD are expected to get the updates in Q4 this year, while update plans for some devices like the Motorola Atrix 2 or the Photon 4G will be announced in the future.
Of-course, this doesn’t change the fact most devices will be getting the update an year after Android 4.0 came out, but clear communication with the customers is a good step at repairing Motorola’s poor record.
It has published the list of devices that will be getting Android 4.0 and also which will remain at Android 2.3.
So, what’s your opinion are you going to be sticking to Motorola’s devices in the future in light of this announcement?
