If you were expecting Samsung to announce their latest flagship in MWC then you will be disappointed because instead of expecting Galaxy S3 announcement they have unveiled three new devices which are equally amazing as the unannounced Galaxy S3.

Let’s take a closer look at the devices that Samsung have announced at MWC 2012

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

If you are familiar with Samsung earlier attempt at combining phone and tablet which resulted in Galaxy Note then you won’t be surprised with this Galaxy Note 10.1 because instead of featuring a 5inch HD display you get a good 10.1inch HD resolution display on which using the S-Pen becomes much more easier and also fun to use.

It also features the same S-Pen stylus that is found in the original galaxy note. Note 10.1 is a pretty cool looking device but it’s a finger print magnet. Despite the bigger size of the tablet you also get voice calling functionality that you won’t expect to be present in a tablet.

The tablet also comes with a 3MP rear camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos along with a front facing camera that will take care of your video calling needs.

Samsung have improved the functionality of the S-Pen on Note 10.1. The S-Pen is now capable of recognizing different pressure level more accurately. Also now the input of the S-Pen has been made sharper than before.

With S-Pen you can draw various shapes in the tablet and even if it’s a rough sketch of a square or circle the tablet will recognize it and correct it with the proper shape. Samsung have also included Photoshop Touch for android in the tablet which is a joy to use with the S-Pen

Samsung Galaxy Beam

This is another device that you can look forward to because Samsung have fitted a portable projector in the phone which is capable of projecting images and videos up to 2 meters in a dark room.

With this phone Samsung have successfully managed to install a micro projector in a portable device. The device features a dual core processor so you can be assured of very good performance. Also the projector they have installed is capable of projecting an image which is 50inch diagonal.

The projected image has nHD 640×360 resolutions. You will also get 3hrs of battery back-up in projection mode. The projected image auto rotates depending on the orientation of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

This tablet was designed with the intention of being an affordable tablet that comes pre-installed with Android 4.0 ICS. The tablet has similar features and specification as that found in the original Galaxy Tab 10.1.

With this tablet you also get Full HD recording which is not present in the original tablet.

There you have the Samsung announcements on Day 1 of MWC. The release of their flagship device will be delayed till the Q2 of this year.

Pricing and availability of the above mentioned devices have not been announced yet but the expected date for these devices to become available in April.
