MWC 2012 Various Brands Coverage

MWC have started and with the major players stealing the show we decided to take a look at some of the other manufacturers who have arrived at MWC to showcase their latest innovation.

In this post we will take a look at some of the less popular brand names who have show cased some of the most interesting and anticipated gadgets of 2012.

ZTE Era

This is a new android device released by ZTE which is aimed at becoming the flagship device of ZTE. It features 4.3inch screen of QHD 960 x 540 resolutions with 8GB of internal storage. The device will be running on Tegra 3 Quad core chipset and also feature HD voice and Dolby Sound.

ZTE PF112

This device looks like an alternate version of Era which is the flagship device of ZTE. This device features a 4.5inch display but has a dual core processor. The remaining features are similar to the Era. This device will be running Android 4.0 ICS.

ZTE T98

This is a very compact slate which features a 7inch TFT screen with 1280×800 resolutions. It comes with Tegra 3 quad core chipset along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The slate will also contain a 5MP camera along with a front facing 2MP camera.

ZTE PF100

This is a 10inch tablet by ZTE which also features similar specs to that of ZTE T98. It will also support SIM slot so you can connect to 3G networks.

Fujitsu Quad Core Phone

This is a prototype device by Fujitsu which still doesn’t have official name yet. This device features a 4.6inch 720p display and is powered by Tegra 3 chipset. The great thing about this device is that it packs a 13.1MP camera which records 1080p videos. This is the waterproof phone that Fujitsu had showcased in CES.

Asus Transformer Pad 300 Series

The 300 series tablet comes with a 10.1 WXVGA IPS display along with a front facing 1.2MP camera and an 8MP rear camera. The tablet has an amazing 10hrs of battery life and when you plug it into the keyboard dock you get an extended battery life of 15 hours. The tablet will be available in Q2 of this year in three different colors red, black and white.

Asus Padfone

This is the most anticipated device that everyone was waiting for from Asus. This device is running Android 4.0 ICS which is kept fast and smooth by the Qualcomms 1.5Ghz dual core S4 chipset. The phone half of the device uses a 4.3inch Super AMOLED display of qHD resolution. You also get 1GB of RAM with 8MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.

If you plug the phone in to the padfone station you will be able to view the entire contents of the screen on the 10.1inch WXGA display of resolution 1280×800. The battery life is also doubled and the front facing camera of the pad is 1.3MP. Now if you add the pad to the keyboard docking station the battery life is now further extended up to 9times greater than what you would have gotten with the padphone alone.

Panasonic Eluga

This is a very attractive device produced by Panasonic and features TI OMAP-4430 chipset using a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor along with 1GB RAM. You also get a 4.3inch OLED display of qHD resolution 640×960. The rear of the device features an 8MP camera along with LED flash. What sets this device apart from other MWC devices is that its dust and water resistant and can withstand a meter depth immersion for up to 30min.

Panasonic Eluga Power

This is another interesting device which has a huge 5inch LCD display of HD resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8270 platform which has 1.5 GHz dual core processor along with Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 4.0 ICS and Panasonic have added some custom feature to their device to make it unique.

Toshiba AT270 Tablet

This is a very attractive and beautiful tablet from Toshiba. This tablet uses a very vivid 7.7inch Super AMOLED display of resolution 1280×800. The tablet is powered by Tegra 3 chipset and runs Android 4.0.
