Everyday many apps are being released in the android market and some of them are really useful while others are we mostly downloading just for fun of using them and see what they have to offer.

In one of our previous we have covered some of the best apps of the year 2011 and in this post we will look at some of the apps of the year 2012 although only 2 months have passed since the start of this year but we decided its right time to mention some of the new apps that have made the headlines.

1.  Cut The Rope:

This is one of the famous apps that started out in the iOS and slowly has made its way to android market. This year it was released in the android market and has made quite a stir and holds 4.7 star average rating in the market.

It’s a very fun and addictive game where you have to cut ropes to get around monsters, spiders and other creatures to complete your level. After you purchase the game with 99cents you will be able to play 250 levels and new levels are being added.

 

2.  Voxer Walkie-Talkie:

This app will enable you to use your android device as a walkie-talkie over the Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, and EDGE etc. If you don’t want to use the talking feature then you can also just text and send files very seamlessly.

You can hear the voice very clearly over this app and even if you’re not near your phone the voice and chat message will be saved so that you can view them later. The best part of this app is that it’s free and is cross platform between iOS and android.

 

3.  Speedtest.net

This is a very handy app that will allow you to see the speed of your internet connection.

After you have downloaded this app you can ping and test your download and upload speeds either over WI-FI or 3G and you can save the reports for later viewing or for comparisons.

 

4.  GIF Boom:

This is one of the most interesting applications that have ever been released on a mobile device. This app will allow you to bring your pictures to life through animations.

This app will allow you to take a bunch of pictures at a set shutter speed and then you can rearrange the pictures to your liking and quickly create a GIF image out of them. You can also upload the created GIF image to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Email and MMS.

 

5.  SMS Popup:

This is a very useful app that will show a popup every time you receive a new SMS. You can also do custom notifications by contact and in addition you will also be able to delete or forward the SMS directly from the popup window.

When you close the popup window the message will be automatically marked as read.

 

6.  Chrome Beta:

If you’re a true Google fan then here is your favorite browser which offers the simplistic UI which caters to some of the fastest loading times in a mobile browser and also with swipe gestures that will allow you smooth and efficient control of the browser.

You will be able to sync your Google account and see all the tabs that are open on any of your chrome devices. The browser is currently available as beta but you can give it a try and have fun with it.
