Accessing Text messages and e.mails from a mobile phone while driving is dangerous. It has been prohibited in many states and countries. The best solution for this problem is Bluetooth control and “hand free” systems. Parrot bringing a free Android/iPhone app.

The Parrot Minikit Neo is a voice controlled Bluetooth hands free car kit. It concentrates the best of high technology in only 70 grams. It allows a driver to manage all their phone calls, e.mails and text messages entirely through their voice.

There are two integrated buttons in the Parrot Minikit Neo. The Green one allows you to accept calls, dial from your phonebook and activate voice recognition while the red button is use to exit from menus and phone calls. The kit further contains the rotary knob, when you press the knob it activates the Neo’s audible menu and if you twist the knobe you can enter into the various options you can also adjust the volume by turning the knob.

The device has a simplistic and sleek design that attaches to the sun visor in your car. Then it connects with upto 2 devices over Bluetooth. It will Turn ON and OFF when you enter and exit from the car. Apart from that, it responds to texts and phone calls telling the sender that you are driving. It further access the free android and iOS app that allows you to locate your car, create auto-respond messages and set reminders for pesky parking meters.

You can use this kit around 10 hours of use from a 3 hours of charge. You can charge this either through USB to Micro USB cable or the 12 volt USB charger. Sound quality for calls is brilliant, however it is not quite strong enough to play music through Bluetooth, due to low levels of bass.

Further the device offers a service called TextFriendly. It allows you to access your e.mails and text messages directly from your Parrot hands free system and kit. TextFriendly is controlled entirely by voice and uses advanced technologies to convert text to voice and voice to text.
