In our last post we took a look at both the devices and saw what different features sets them apart. The design category was easily won by the HTC ONE X because it gives a premium feel to it.

Whereas in the display and hardware comparison the limelight was easily stolen by Galaxy S3 because Samsung have managed to produce a beast this easily leaves all other devices in a trail of dust.

Software Comparison

If you look carefully at Galaxy S3 you will see that it isn’t that different than the previous king of android Galaxy S2. So as a result Samsung have made sure to provide something new at the software side by completely tweaking the android 4.0.

Other than the TouchWiz optimization Samsung have also made sure to add some additional new features that will make you want to own the device. For starters Samsung have introduced Smart Stay that uses the devices front camera to track your eye movements and keeps the display on or off depending whether you are looking at the screen or not.

All there is another feature called direct call which will allow you to place a call to the contact just by holding the phone to your ear. Another very useful called popup play which will allow you to place the video on top of any application which will allow you to do your work without interrupting your video.

These are some of the feature that Samsung have introduced in the Galaxy S3. While in HTC ONE X there isn’t any new feature that will provide you an enhanced android experience. You get android 4.0 which are covered with HTC Sense UI v4.0 and offers lots of eye candy.

The winner of software category is the Galaxy S3 because of the myriad of new features that have been added by Samsung to the Android 4.0.

Battery And Storage Comparison

HTC ONE X comes with an 1800mAh battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The battery is sufficient to power the device through the day of entertainment. On the storage side you get non expandable 32 GB of storage. To avoid disappointment over the lack of a microSD card HTC have included dropbox storage of 25GB for two years.

Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with a bigger battery of 2100mAh which is user replaceable. You get an option of internal storages of 16, 32 or 64 GB which you can further expand with a microSD card up to an additional 64 GB. If you think it can’t get any better Samsung have also included dropbox storage of 50Gb for 3yrs.

This category is easily won by the Galaxy S3. Samsung have made sure to produce a multimedia powerhouse by providing you with ample of storage space which makes sure that you will never run out of storage space.
