It was just a few days ago that Samsung confirmed the up gradation of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich in the UK and Italy regions. With this came the disappointment that Samsung did not plan this upgrade to any other regions.
Today there is some good news for the Samsung galaxy tab 7 plus users; Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich update.
This is really very good news for the owners of the Galaxy tab 7 plus, but here is some bad news for the residents of U.S., there are no confirmed reports of up gradation of the tab in the U.S. region but we hope that will be soon.
According to sources the update was available from the morning, and can be downloaded via Samsung Kies. Samsung Kies is the proprietary software of the company for up gradation of phone software.
Some Samsung representatives also confirmed the update and according to him it can be downloaded by checking for updates over the air. So open settings in your tablet then tap About Phone, finally tap Check for Updates.
After this process the update will be downloaded and installed automatically on your device. The main anticipated reason for the update is the improvement in overall performance of the tablet.
The main change log includes
1) Performance improvements
2) New and improved Touch Wiz with Nature UX.
3) Better browsing experience.
4) Camera Enhancements.
5) Face unlock.
6) Major interface overhaul.
7) Other major updates…
The original version was already running Touch Wiz out of the box so there might not be much higher difference in UI. Currently the update is available only for the Wi-Fi model and the T-Mobile’s 4G version is still not capable for updating.
So what are you waiting for just go ahead and upgrade your Galaxy tab 10.1 and Galaxy tab 7 plus if you live in UK.
