Slice, a new player in the land of android keyboard released a new type of keyboard especially targeted towards android tablet users. It works well on both touch as well as swiping actions.

Slice’s main innovation is a blank home row where you place your fingers. Then keys are shown depending on which fingers are placed on the home row. Each key is in a direction relative to the keys on the home row.

This allows you to type without having to look at the keys. The home row positions can statically placed or adjust to your finger placement. You can also easily access the punctuation, special characters and a number pad.

The Slice keyboard also supports android tablets 7″ and larger. The full version can be used throughout theandroid operating system and with all android apps that work with the system keyboard. Further the full version of the keyboard comes with a typing area and a space invaders like game for typing practice.

This keyboard was actually developed by Istas Technologies. You can try out the free Slice Keyboard Demo or get the full version with system-wide support for $4.99.
