Hi folks, you’ve probably heard of Xperia SmartTags or Samsung TecTiles. Actually they both are small pendants and stickers that activate your device to perform defined actions using Near Field Communication Technology.

It is extremely useful for recent devices that have NFC built in. But unfortunately, the older devices lack this facility.  But don’t worry, you can now use Smart (QR) Tags.

It has doing the same functionality as NFC SmartTags and TecTiles by utilizing your device’s camera rather than NFC Technology.

By scanning a QR code, which can be easily generated on the Internet, the app activates your device to perform user-defined actions such as switching profiles, launching an app, playing music, and activating Wi Fi tethering, among many other actions.

Now, you may wonder, why go to QR scanning app, open it, aim it and wait for the action when you can just perform the action yourself? The answer is, you don’t. Inteks has allowed the users to activate the actions just by unlocking the device, shaking it and aim.

The shake sensitivity and duration can be easily adjusted with simple horizontal scales in the app settings. Generate a code, set it up with the app, and put it on anywhere.

For example :

  • In the car on the dashboard to start cardock mode.
  • In the bedroom on the bedside table to activate the flight mode.
  • At home at the entrance door to activate wireless.
  • Scan the Barcode of a CD Cover and associate it to the belonging playlist.

So, guys if you want this then download it from Google Play Store. Don’t forget to tell us what you think about this.
