Now, you can easily sync the SMS messages on your phone to the tablet with the help of smsSync app. This app was developed by Alexander Oprisnik. By using this app now you can easily read as well as respond to SMS directly from your tablet.
Setting this smsSync app is very simple. For that you need to install the app on both your phone as well as tablet and follow the in-app wizard to sync both devices via AndroidBeam. But keep in mind that both your phone and tablet must be on the same WiFi network, then it shouldn’t be a problem when you are at home.
So, once you synced both the devices you will be able to send and receive SMS messages right from the tablet without having to go anywhere near your phone.
While the only catch right now is both your android phone and the tablet require android beam functionality, which means NFC capability, for smsSync to work. The developer is working on adding more connectivity methods like WiFi Direct and Bluetooth in future releases, which should increase the compatibility radius of the app.
Both free version and paid version of the app are available in Google Play Store right now. The free version is called sms Lite Beta which is ad supported. The paid version is called smsSync Beta which is priced at $2.49. As this is a Beta release somethings might not work as smoothly as expected.
