A low cost version of the Android operating system containing mobile is going on stairs this week. It was not just a week ago that rumors fled that Sony is planning of releasing a low cost Android mobile in UK under the carriers O2 and Orange.

The original rumor stated of an early August release. Now again new news is flying around regarding the availability and price of the device. It is expected to release on August 8.

The rumor comes from an independent UK based online retailer the Carphone Warehouse which is listing the new Xperia Tipo in preorder state with a range of different price plans.

You can be lucky if you are network subsidized, the low cost Android smartphone comes free if you want to buy the phone in contract. The company is giving this phone for free if you purchase it on contract basis.

There are multiple options on contract basis starting with £10.50 per month for the postpaid users bought up by the carriers like O2, Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Talk mobile.

If you are a pre-pay customer there is the best option that you can get. You need to spend just £89.95 for this handset. After doing this you need to recharge it of top up of £10 by any carrier of your choice. If you proceed with this the handset is completely yours.

There is an option available too if you want to purchase directly an unlocked unbranded version of the phone that will cost you around £119.95 which is £20 more than the pre pay plan. The seller has promised to ship the smartphone starting from Wednesday.

About the Phone, according to the specifications listed by the seller the phone is alleged running Android 4.0 Operating System out of the box. The device is told to power by a 800MHz single core processor and a 512MB RAM.

The device is also sporting a cool look and 3.2 inches of LCD with a rear camera of 3.2 Mega pixels. If you are looking at a good android budget phone then you are looking at the right direction.

None of the vendors have introduced ICS running version of a phone in a budget and Sony has completely pulled it off. Its definitely can be worth your money.
