If you like the interface on Sony’s Xperia Z but stuck with the rather boring Samsung Touchwiz launcher. Then here is a new launcher for you released by XDA member ThilinaC.

He is managed to port the Xperia Z launcher over to the Galaxy S2, S3, note and note 2 devices and Galaxy Nexus devices, which will overwrite the default look of your Samsung handset. It will work on other custom AOSP Roms as well.

Sony Xperia Z Home Launcher

The new Xperia Z launcher gets you the following features:

  • It brings the beautiful widgets to your smartphone such as clock widgets, weather widgets, recent calls widget on/off tools widget.
  • Further, it also gives Sony Notes app and its widgets.
  • It gives Seven home screen add/remove support.
  • It gives the folders in app drawer.
  • It also gives nice UI and resize widgets.

Only one downside of this launcher is; if you attempt to open the themes options from the home settings menu, the launcher will force close. Aside from this everything works very fine.

Please make a note that if you want to install this app in your device then you need to install a custom recovery like ClockworkMod or any other custom recovery. And also you need to have Ice Cream Sandwich or Jellybean ROM.
