Just like many other companies, Asus has also decided to keep fighting in tablet market and this time, they have introduced a new Android Tablet called Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. This tablet runs on Android ICS 4.0.3 and has some great features.

What’s Good

The good thing about Asus Infinity Pad is its high-resolution display screen that can easily give competition to iPad’s display screen. The sharpness and the clarity are quite good in this new tablet. In previous versions, GPS was not that good but it has been improved this time.

What’s Bad

The only bad thing about TF700 is the same thing that is bad about other android tablets. The problem with this high-end tablet is that, there are not enough apps available so far. Another drawback of this tablet is the battery time which is quite less as compared to Transformer Prime.

Overall

So far, Asus Transformer Infinity TF700 is from the list of fastest android tablets available in the market right now. The design of the tablet is great and a better camera has been added. Processor has very fast speed and screen resolution is very good too.

One can say that Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is actually the new version of Transformer Prime. All the features and design are same but there are some basic changes in newer version. Prime had GPS issue but it has been resolved in Infinity TF700.

Overall, Asus has designed a beautiful android tablet that will be liked by users. Since, it runs on Android OS 4.0.3 so you can expect it to perform very well. Google has recently launched newer version of its OS called Android Jellybean 4.1 but there are no reports about the Infinity Tab getting that upgrade until now.

Design

As already discussed, the infinity pad looks like a slightly modified version of transformer prime. The ports are all the same but the location of ports has been changed a little. This can be problematic for old users but you will get used to it very soon.

The thickness of TF700 is 0.33 inches as compared to the thickness of Prime that was 0.32 inches. The inner parts of the tablet are enclosed in an aluminum body which gives it a good look and beautiful design.

In previous version, GPS was covered with aluminum but this time, ASUS has decided to cover GPS receiver with plastic cover which lets it communicate easily. Finding a location or address is not a problem at all because GPS issues have been resolved by Asus.

Software Features

With the introduction of TF700, Asus has now introduced two tablets that come with Android 4.0.3 preinstalled. So far, the best version of Android is 4.0 but Google is making new improvements day by day. For example, newer version of Android OS 4.1 called Jellybean has been introduced.
The only thing in which TF700 lags behind is the app support. Apple’s iPad has been a great success because thousands of great apps are available for that device but when it comes to Android Tablets, not such good apps are available on Google Play Store.

Conclusion

Overall, Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is a good addition to the Android tablets. With high processing speed and killing graphics, it can easily dominate any other device in the market only if good app support is provided by Google’s end.

You talked about a battery life decrease: Do you have any specifics on that? Like a comparison of battery drain times?
