Toshiba recently announced the another 10-inch android tablet in the market. Earlier it was announced the Excite LE tablet device from Toshiba, but now it announced Excite SE tablet which is available in the price range of $50. Actually, it is cheaper than the Excite LE.
It is a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen, having a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels while there is a NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core processor to hold the speed high. The tablet looks very slim with a thickness of 0.4 inch and it weighs around 22.6 ounces.
The rear camera is present with the 3 megapixel lens, that has the auto-focus and digital zoom to provide HD quality of video recording, and decent photo capture.
In terms of design, the Toshiba Excite SE has got a textured fusion lattice finish for the outside casing, which would provide the best comfort and grip for handling and carrying the tablet device.
It would be running on the Android 4.1 JellyBean Operating System, unlike the previous tabs that were all with the Android ICS. Users will get the better experience in the new features included in the Android 4.1.
The 10.1 inch diagonal AutoBrite™ HD touchscreen display would provide the best graphics quality, while the performance is going to be supported by the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 Super 4-PLUS-1™ quad-core processor. It will be enough to give a smooth web browsing experience along with the performance kept high during heavy gaming.
Further, it contains the SE’s stereo speakers. It is powered by the SRS® Premium Voice Pro, which would provide an optimized voice experience for anything including audio, video, gaming etc.
The connectivity for this Excite SE is limited to 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth® 3.0 and the MicroUSB ports, and there is no cellular data network connectivity option available. If the given storage isn’t enough, there is an option to expand it using the MicroSD card.
The price range of this tablet starts from $349.99 for the 16GB version, and that wouldn’t be a high price when you are going to hold the big 10-inch device in your hands. This compared to Galaxy Tab and iPad, would have many specs lesser in grade, but the pricing too has to be taken as a factor, as none of those are available at a price range less than $400, and Toshiba’s Excite LE was available for $400. It would be available in all the retail stores of Toshiba as well as online at Toshibadirect.com.
