Pre requisites to Update SONY Xperia T with Jellybean 4.1.1 based Custom ROM Firmware:

  • We strongly recommends you to take backup of all your precious data (i.e SMS, MMS, Call logs, APNs etc) present in your phone. Just in case; if your data might corrupted or erased due to any reasons you can easily recover them with the help of backup.
  • Once you have created a back up of all the data move them all to the computer so that they are safe.

How to Update Sony Xperia T device with Jelly Sandwich Custom ROM Firmware:

  • Once you have downloaded the package, connect your Xperia T smartphone to the computer with the help of USB cable and place the zip file in your device.
  • After that disconnect the device from computer and navigate to the ROM Manager app.

WARNING : Please make a note that in ROM Manager app you should not select the backup option; if you do so it will completely brick the device.

  • So, there  you must select “Reboot in Recovery Mode” for rebooting the device in the recovery mode.
  • In the recovery mode, you need to select “Wipe cache data” and “Wipe Data”. Once the data is wiped, select the option of “install zip from SD Card” after which you will see an array of files  in your phone.
  • Now, select the zip file which you have placed in your phone. It will take few minutes for applying the update. You can see the progress bar which will indicate the firmware upgrade progress.
  • Once the phone is rebooted, then go to the path “Settings > About Phone” there you can find the firmware version which should read Jelly Sandwich 4.1.1 firmware version.
