Samsung have released yet another tablet called galaxy tab 7.7. As the name implies the tablet comes with a 7.7inch of Super AMOLED Plus screen. The tablet shows that Samsung has been working hard at providing something different to the already saturated tablet market.

This tablet is also the proof that the mobile industry is progressing at an amazing rate. Samsung was able fit an amazing display along with some powerful hardware in just 7.89mm thickness. That’s some amazing feat of engineering.

Looks and Feel:

Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 has been designed to be a real looker and the 7.7inch Super AMOLED Plus Screen of WXGA resolution of 1280×800 pixels becomes the main selling point of the tablet. The screen has a pixel density of 196ppi the highest of any tablet that is out there.

Super AMOLED Plus display offers one of the best color representation that you can ever find from any other display units. The blacks on the screen are as deep as they can get. The viewing angles are also impressive.

The icons representation on the screen is also amazing and is very crisp. Since the AMOLED screens are almost non-reflective you will be assured a fine image quality even under bright sunlight and the texts are perfectly readable.

What sets this tablet from other Samsung galaxy tablets is that it has portrait orientation by default. The bottom of this tablet has stereo speakers along with Samsung proprietary port that is used for charging the tablet. You will miss out on the standard microUSB port.

Right side of the tablet has two hardware keys which are used for controlling the volume and a a screen lock key which is also used as a power button.

The tablet comes with a 3.15MP camera which captures good quality image and which looks brilliant on the Super AMOLED Plus display.

User Interface and Hardware:

Samsung galaxy tablet runs the latest version of Android 3.2 Honeycomb with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI customization. This will provide you with similar user interface as found on other galaxy tablet.

Honeycomb has some issues with certain application available in the market so Samsung have promised an update to Android 4.0 ICS.

TouchWiz customization adds some new feature to the honeycomb UI. One of them is the taskbar which is no not static anymore. You can swipe it upwards to reveal shortcuts and clicking on them opens a widget which you can freely move around the screen.

The tablet is powered by 1.4Ghz dual core exynos CPU with 1Gb of RAM which ensures that you have processing power to tackle any and all apps that are available from the android market. The tablet is able to run 1080p videos effortlessly without any hiccups and are a joy to watch on the Super AMOLED Plus scree.
